Job summary

Hospital to Home LLC in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee EMS and Non-Emergency Medical Transportation operations. You will support the General Manager and Regional Director in day-to-day management during shifts, ensuring efficient resource use and regulatory compliance across ambulatory, wheelchair, stretcher, BLS, ALS, and Critical Care services.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Hold a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• CPR certification is required.
• Not have been convicted or found guilty of any crime as per state EMS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manages field crews across EMS and NEMT operations, assigning transports and reviews, maintaining standards, and counseling staff.
• Assists General Manager/Regional Director with day-to-day management of assigned operations.
• Resolves staff inquiries about work assignments, transports, emergency responses, and equipment.
• Provides guidance to dispatch personnel on work assignments, responses, and resource utilization.
• Monitors EMS and NEMT resources based on patient needs and staffing.
• Rides with crews to observe performance during responses and transports.
• Enforces SOPs and documents deviations; supports vehicle and equipment maintenance.
