Qualifications

• Must have strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Hold a valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
• Minimum 1 year as a cleared EMS attendant-in-charge.
• Current VA OEMS EMT certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current EVOC certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise NEMT & EMS crews, assign and review rides, and ensure SOP adherence.
• Provide guidance to dispatcher team on work assignments and resource use.
• Rides with crews to observe performance during responses.
• Respond to calls and assist crews or facilities as needed.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and vehicle readiness per OEMS standards.
• Inspect and test emergency vehicles and complete inspection docs.
• Assist in training and development of staff and performance improvement plans.
