Job summary

Hospital to Home LLC in Farmville, VA seeks a safety-conscious Emergency Vehicle Operator to drive ambulances and support EMS teams during emergency and non-emergency transports. You will help load patients, conduct vehicle inspections, and ensure equipment readiness while adhering to HIPAA and safety protocols.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid license with a clean driving record, EVOC and CPR/First Aid certifications, plus driving and EMS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license for 3+ years with clean record.
• Current EVOC certification.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Experience operating emergency vehicles or healthcare transport preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local roads and safe driving techniques.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate ambulances during emergency and non-emergency transports.
• Assist with loading/unloading patients, stretchers, and equipment.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure readiness.
• Maintain stocked, clean, and operational vehicles at shift start/end.
• Support EMS crew with on-scene logistics and safety duties.
• Communicate with dispatchers and healthcare facilities; complete documentation.
