Job summary

Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES is seeking an EMS Lab Instructor (Hourly, Part-Time) for the Finger Lakes Tech and Career Center. The role involves delivering EMT psychomotor instruction in a CTE high school program, aligning with NYSDOH EMS standards, and supporting student EMT certification preparation.

The instructor will work under supervision, assist with skill testing, provide feedback, and help maintain lab safety and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active New York State EMT certification (or higher).
• Current Health Professional CPR certification (instructor preferred).
• Minimum of two years EMS experience.
• One year EMS instructional, lab, or training support experience preferred.
• CLI certification preferred.
• Eligible for NYSED Trans A certification within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Assist with EMT psychomotor skills instruction in EMS lab sessions.
• Observe, evaluate, and document student performance using checkoff sheets.
• Assist with psychomotor testing, skill verification, and competency evaluation.
• Provide feedback and guidance on performance and professional expectations.
• Support lab operations including setup, breakdown, sanitation, and inventory.
• Ensure lab safety and proper equipment use.
