Job summary

Indian River State College is seeking a Program Assistant for the Emergency Medical Services lab. The role supports day-to-day EMS lab operations and helps foster a hands-on learning environment for future emergency medical professionals.

The ideal candidate collaborates with the EMS instructor, communicates effectively, and ensures safety and organization across campus labs and activities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in EMS or related field with 2+ years of related experience.
• Current Florida paramedic license or certification.
• Two+ years of professional experience in the discipline.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for EMS lab under supervision.
• Assist instructor with facilitation of student learning and skills development.
• Assist in assigning and directing students in the work setting.
• Collect data for instructor evaluation of students.
• Refer students to college resources to support success.
• Maintain positive communication with students, staff, and affiliates.
• Prepare required documentation and participate in meetings.
• Maintain equipment and supplies on campus locations.
• Follow health and safety regulations and college policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
