Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking an EMS Lab Assistant PS/PS to support instructors and manage classroom/lab activities. The role involves supervising students, maintaining supplies, and preparing documentation in a mixed face-to-face/online/hybrid setting.

Qualifications

  • NR/Paramedic license with 2+ years experience.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Knowledge about EMS program evaluation of student learning and performance.
  • Georgia EMS Instructor Advanced or Paramedic license + CPR certification preferred.
  • Post-secondary teaching experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Director and/or lead instructor in instructing, supervising, and evaluating students in classroom/lab settings.
  • Complete annual training as assigned; courses may be face-to-face, online, or hybrid.
  • Evaluate students' progress toward goals and objectives.
  • Request and maintain supplies and equipment; prepare and maintain documentation and reports.
  • Meet with students, staff, and educators to discuss instructional programs and issues.
  • Collaborate with faculty to establish and measure student learning outcomes and improvements.

Education

National Registry Advanced Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic license
Valid Driver's License
Knowledge about EMS program evaluation of student learning and performance
Georgia EMS Instructor Advanced or Paramedic license, CPR Certification
Teaching experience at the post-secondary level
Bachelor's degree
