Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking a part-time Laboratory Assistant for Emergency Management Services. The role supports instructional staff, assists in lab and classroom supervision, and ensures safety rules are followed in all training activities.

Minimum qualification includes a high school diploma or GED and a valid GA Paramedic License or NREMT Paramedic Certification. The position is non-benefited and offers up to 19 hours weekly. Salary is $15.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current GA Paramedic License or NREMT Paramedic Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director in instructing, supervising, and evaluating students in classroom/lab settings.
• Complete annual training as assigned.
• Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area.
• Ensures students are instructed in and follow all safety rules for operating equipment and using tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned in the Gwinnett Technical College.
• Supports effective classroom management and records progress.
