Athens Technical College is seeking a Professional Lab Assistant EMT/AEMT to support faculty, tutor students, and maintain labs and materials for instructional use.

The position requires current licensure as an AEMT, Paramedic, RN, PA, or MD/DO in Georgia with at least one year of advanced life support experience; preferred instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as an AEMT, Paramedic, RN, PA, or M.D./D.O. in Georgia with at least 1 year of advanced life support pre-hospital or emergency care.
  • Preferred: Instructor certification in BLS, ACLS and/or PALS.
  • Preferred: PHTLS and EMS Instructor or Instructor/Coordinator for AEMT or Paramedic.

Responsibilities

  • Assist faculty with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, safety procedures, attendance, and related tasks.
  • Tutor or mentor students.
  • Clean labs as needed.
  • Obtain materials needed for classes, including texts and other materials.
