Job summary

North Georgia Technical College in Blairsville, GA is seeking an EMS Professional Lab Assistant for a part-time role. The incumbent works under the supervision of full-time faculty and performs routine laboratory tasks while assisting with instruction and safety procedures.

The role includes preparing, maintaining, and operating lab equipment, tutoring students, supporting exams and attendance tracking, and obtaining class materials as needed to support learning objectives.

Qualifications

• AEMT currently working in the field or retired.
• Two (2) years work experience within emergency services.
• Preferred: Paramedic.
• EMS Instructor Licensing preferred.
• Fire Instructor Licensing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist full-time faculty members with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, adherence to safety procedures, tracking attendance, and other miscellaneous tasks related to instruction
• Tutor or mentor students
• Perform lab research
• Clean labs, as needed
• Obtain materials needed for classes, including texts and other materials
