Job summary

Coconino Community College seeks an EMS instructor to teach Emergency Medical Technician courses and oversee assessment of student learning outcomes. The role requires collaboration with students, colleagues, and community partners to ensure program excellence.

The instructor will contribute to curriculum development, maintain office hours, provide advising, and support ongoing college initiatives while adapting to flexible scheduling and multiple CCC sites.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required with six years of relevant EMS experience.
• Current certification with Arizona Department of Health Services at the EMT level or higher.
• Current license/certificate as an IFSTA Emergency Services Instructor I or NAEMSE Level 1 (or higher) and BLS Instructor certification.

Responsibilities

• Teach EMS courses and assess learning outcomes using effective pedagogy.
• Provide academic advising and help with curriculum development outside of class time.
• Maintain posted office hours and respond promptly to student inquiries.
• Collaborate with faculty and committees; participate in college governance and program development.
