Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL, is seeking an EMS Instructor to deliver classroom, lab, and simulation-based instruction within the EMS Education Program. The role primarily supports the Paramedic Program and may include EMT content as assigned.

You will assess students, help develop exams, and support National Registry preparation while upholding accreditation standards and contributing to program quality. A strong teaching presence and evidence-based EMS practice are essential.

Qualifications

• Illinois Paramedic or RN license in good standing.
• Illinois EMS Lead Instructor certification is required.
• Minimum 3 years of EMS experience.
• Strong instructional and communication skills.
• Availability to teach on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays with at least one instructional day per week.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned didactic content.
• Participate in laboratory and simulation activities.
• Develop and update instructional materials.
• Assist with exam creation and review.
• Maintain academic records.
• Participate in faculty meetings.
• Support accreditation and program quality initiatives.
