Job summary

Air Methods is seeking a Base Pilot to lead daily operations of the aviation team and uphold safety as the top priority. You will ensure aircraft airworthiness, coordinate with medical crews, and ensure compliance with FAR, AIM, and GOM guidelines within the assigned area.

Responsibilities include conducting preflight checks, sign off Daily Flight Log, authoritative decision-making for flight operations, and collaboration with EMS and hospitals.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent and 2–5 years’ related experience; or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2000 total flight hours with minimum of 1500 flight hours in category.

Responsibilities

• Operates Air methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
• Complete pre-flight procedures and sign Daily Flight Log.
• Final authority for aircraft operations and safety of passengers, cargo and equipment.
• Ensure medical team is familiar with aircraft systems.
• Complete required documentation.
