Job summary

Life Flight Network in Hilo, HI is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II to maintain LF N aircraft, manage base inventory, plan and schedule maintenance, and ensure compliance with FAA Part 135. The role requires A&P certification, 5 years of experience, and the ability to work overtime in a high‑performing EMS environment.

Ideal candidates will have experience on Bell 407/429, EC135, PC12 and strong Microsoft Office skills, with a track record of teamwork and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Two years Aviation Science trade or equivalent education/experience.
• Five years as Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic.
• Airframe and Powerplant Certification.
• Inspection Authorization Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Three years FAR 135 turbine rotorcraft maintenance experience.
• Three years EMS helicopter program experience preferred.
• Maintenance on Bell 407, Bell 429, EC135, and PC12 desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and team skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair aircraft parts, components, and systems.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, aircraft systems and parts for base operations.
• Update and maintain maintenance manuals, service bulletins, parts books and regulatory updates, and other technical directives.
• Coordinate ordering, shipping, receiving of parts, supplies, tools, and warranty claims parts.
• Maintain upkeep of work area, materials and tools.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to work activities in accordance with regulations and company policy.
• Ensure all maintenance is accomplished and documented correctly.
• Analyze and troubleshoot technical/inspection issues, providing guidance and resolution of problems.
