Job summary

Reynolds Community College is seeking an EMS Faculty member to teach EMS and Fire Science courses across classroom, online, and laboratory settings. The role includes supervision of clinical rotations and maintaining student engagement hours weekly.

Faculty loads average 15 credits per semester with potential summer teaching opportunities based on program needs. Telework options are available to support instructional delivery and professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in EMS, Health Education, Public Safety, Allied Health, Education, or related field.
• Current NREMT Paramedic or Virginia Paramedic certification.
• Current American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.
• Minimum of five years as a Paramedic.
• Ability to teach EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach EMS and/or Fire Science courses in classroom, online, and lab settings.
• Supervise limited clinical rotations as needed.
• Maintain minimum 10 student engagement hours per week including advising.
• Collaborate in planning, delivery, and evaluation of instruction.
• Demonstrate commitment to professional development and collaboration.
