Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator to lead AGSH's emergency management program at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL. The role requires directing operations, developing committees, and coordinating education and drills for hospital-wide disaster readiness.

The position includes 32 hours weekly (0.8 FTE), day shift, and requires teaching EMS education to fire departments as part of weekly duties.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required and must be active.
• Experience with emergency preparedness and hospital disaster planning preferred.
• Ability to coordinate EMS education initiatives with fire departments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and manage AGSH Emergency Management operations.
• Develop and support Emergency Preparedness Committee activities.
• Monitor quality improvement related to emergency preparedness.
• Implement HICS and NIMS at AGSH and coordinate related training.
• Lead hazmat education programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with local/regional agencies for disaster planning and exercises.
• Coordinate data collection and HRSA grant reporting for preparedness programs.
• Serve as liaison to county/state/federal emergency planning bodies.
