Job summary

WLRC seeks an EMS Program Director to lead the development, delivery, and oversight of high-quality EMS education programs (EMT and Paramedic) in Windsor Mill, MD. You will guide a team of EMS Educators, drive workforce development, and ensure excellence in classroom, labs, simulations, and clinical education across Maryland and Virginia.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 19 years old or older at hire for insurance purposes.
• Able to drive company vehicles with clean driving record.
• Availability for recall in times of crisis.
• Lift test of 150–200 pounds.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Able to speak, read, and write English.
• Current Maryland EMS provider license (Paramedic or higher).
• Current Maryland MICRB Level II instructor certification.
• 3+ years EMS experience prior to instructor certification preferred.
• BLS Instructor certification (American Heart Association) or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to serve as primary EMT program instructor or obtain within 30 days.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to teach adult learners using evidence-based methods.
• Commitment to workplace safety; identify hazards and promote safety improvements.
• Adhere to safety policies and regulatory requirements; promote safe environment.
• Collaborate with team to upload safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver EMS education programs (EMT and Paramedic) in compliance with MIEMSS, EMS Board, and National Standards.
• Lead EMS Educators to provide workforce development, orientation, remediation, continuing education, and professional development for about 800 providers.
• Oversee classroom instruction, labs, simulations, field internships, and clinical education with focus on clinical and professional excellence.
• Foster critical thinking, clinical competency, and professional conduct among students and EMS personnel.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and clinical support to EMTs and crew.
• Coordinate with hospital and EMS partners; maintain regulatory compliance and quality.
