Job description

We are seeking an experienced EMS/DSCADA Engineer to support our new distribution SCADA system implementation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with field-based SCADA operations, including configuring RTUs, troubleshooting communication issues, and setting up ICCP links between systems.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and troubleshoot DNP 3 devices.
• Set up and manage ICCP communication between EMS and distribution SCADA systems.
• Implement and manage a common tagging scheme between Oracle NMS and OSI EMS systems.
• Perform SCADA system upgrades and validate data point transfers.
• Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) to assist in job functions.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with field-based SCADA operations.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting DNP 3 devices.
• Experience with ICCP protocols and two-way control.
• Knowledge of virtual point configuration in SCADA systems.
• Familiarity with Oracle NMS (LEC/FlexSCADA) and OSI Monarch EMS systems is highly desirable.
• Basic understanding of Oracle databases and PL/SQL is a plus but not critical.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multi-speak technology for tagging schemes.
• Knowledge of various SCADA protocols (e.g., Conitel, Modbus, Telegear).
• Familiarity with NERC CIP standards.

Additional Information:

• The role involves working closely with existing OSI engineers to support the transition to the new Oracle-based distribution SCADA system.
