Job summary

NorthWest EMS is seeking an EMS Dispatcher to handle inbound calls, assess needs, and coordinate emergency resources across 15 municipalities in Allegheny County. The role includes scheduling transports, documenting incidents, and producing daily run reports.

Full-time position with flexible shifts (8, 12, 16 hours) and weekend/holiday requirements. Benefits include health coverage, retirement plan, and uniform allowance. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Act 33/34/73 clearances are required.
• PA Certified EMT or Nationally Registered EMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls promptly and politely.
• Determine caller needs and provide appropriate EMS assistance.
• Direct crew movement and allocate resources based on system status.
• Schedule non-emergency transports and courtesy shuttle appointments.
• Document incidents thoroughly and prepare daily run reports.
