Job summary

TRAA EMS in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Clinical Educator to develop, coordinate, and deliver clinical education for EMS personnel and support onboarding for new staff. The role focuses on competency-based training and ongoing professional development within the Clinical Department.

You will lead skills assessments, simulations, and continuing education, while promoting patient safety and staying current with EMS standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Current Indiana Paramedic certification.
  • Current CPR/BLS, ACLS, PHTLS, AMLS, and PEPP certifications.
  • Obtain card class instructor certifications in AMLS, PHTLS, ACLS, EVOS, CPR, PEPP within a year of position.
  • Minimum of 1 year of progressive EMS field experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a preceptor, field training officer, instructor, educator, or mentor preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver clinical education programs for EMS personnel.
  • Provide classroom, hands-on, simulation-based, and competency-focused training.
  • Assist with development of annual clinical education plans.
  • Deliver continuing education on current EMS practices, treatment guidelines, medical protocols, and emerging clinical topics.
  • Develop educational materials, presentations, skills stations, case studies, simulations, and competency assessments.
  • Incorporate evidence-based practices and current EMS standards into educational programs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee training, attendance, certifications, and competency assessments.
  • Assist with coordinating required continuing education and clinical training activities.
