Job summary

VitalCaring Group is seeking a Software Support Specialist to triage and resolve end-user issues for our home health EMR and related business applications. The role involves onboarding new users, testing configurations, and providing daily technical assistance to on-site and remote staff.

You will coordinate with vendors and internal teams, maintain documentation, and contribute to knowledge sharing while ensuring high-quality patient-care IT services.

Responsibilities

• Participates in training on all software programs and processes.
• On-call responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
• Facilitates user training for hardware and software used by the agency.
• Provides effective support to local and remote end users.
• Communicates with users via email, phone, and meetings.
• Keeps knowledge of software updates current and up-to-date.
• Attends or leads meetings and training sessions as required.
• Answers phones and handles messages.
• Performs testing of software functionality before upgrades and after enhancements.
• Escalates issues to senior team members and vendors with steps to reproduce.
• Manages user provisioning, roles, and password resets.
• Documents enhancements requests and coordinates with vendors.
• Designs IT orientation presentations and training for employees.
• Identifies training opportunities and coordinates with education staff.
• Delivers end-user customer support for business applications.
• Provides guidance on how-to usage and best practices.
• Develops user guides for software programs.
• Liaises between the company and third-party support to resolve issues.
• Keeps supervisors updated with clear information and progress.
