Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) for our Avery Point community. The role includes patrolling, gatehouse relief, and responding to emergencies, with an emphasis on safety and rapid medical response.

You will enforce regulations, document incidents, and coordinate with EMS and police as needed. Growth opportunities exist within our expanding communities.

Qualifications

• EMR certification required.
• EMT certification required.
• CPR certification required (CPR for Healthcare Providers).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Prior security and/or emergency medical services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property and provide relief staffing for the gatehouse.
• Respond to emergency and routine calls for service.
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations.
• Respond to medical emergencies with basic interventions.
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, or other potential criminal activity.
• Coordinate with local police, fire, and EMS during emergencies.
• Complete incident reports via the online report system.

Location: Avery Point by Erickson Senior Living

Compensation: $20/hr - $23/hr, based on experience.

Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

EMR or EMT cert required. CPR cert required.

How you will make an impact

• Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service

• Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing all basic interventions
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity
• Utilize local police, fire, and EMS; effectively during emergencies.
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using our online report system

What you will need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred
• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification. (Higher level certification/licensure is acceptable as a condition of hire, however, new hires will be required to obtain EMR certification within 30 days).
