Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) at Avery Point. You will perform patrols, protect the gatehouse, and respond to medical and security calls while ensuring rapid, professional care and thorough reporting.

This role requires EMR/EMT and CPR certs, a valid driver’s license, and a customer-focused approach. Growth opportunities exist as we expand communities within the Erickson Senior Living network.

Qualifications

• Must hold EMR and EMT certifications and CPR for Healthcare Providers.
• Prior security and emergency medical services experience is preferred.
• 18+ years old with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property and provide relief staffing for the gatehouse.
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations and respond to emergency and routine calls for service.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care using basic interventions.
• Complete detailed incident reports using the online system.

Job description

Location: Avery Point by Erickson Senior Living Compensation: $19.50/hr - $20/hr, based on experience. Shift: Flex on-call day and night shifts available. EMR or EMT cert required. CPR cert required. Growth opportunities. Join our team as a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) at our gated retirement community. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing our Security and Emergency Services programs and providing outreach within the community.

How you will make an impact

• Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations
• Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing all basic interventions
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity
• Utilize local police, fire, and EMS; effectively during emergencies
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using our online report system

What you will need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred
• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification.
• (Higher level certification/licensure is acceptable as a condition of hire, however, new hires will be required to obtain EMR certification within 30 days).
