Medasource is seeking an experienced EMR Project Manager for a fully remote contract role.

You will oversee the implementation of EDI interfaces between internal systems and EMR/EHR, HIS, and LIS platforms, with strong emphasis on communication with clients and vendors and thorough project documentation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive PM for EDI interface implementations between client systems and EMR/EHR, HIS, and LIS platforms.
• Facilitate communication with internal/external clients and software vendors throughout the implementation.
• Manage, prioritize, and elevate tasks to ensure timely interface completion.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and lead project meetings and updates.
• Train and mentor new PMs and team members, including leading as Primary Training PM.

EMR Project Manager

This is a Remote role.

Compensation: $35 – $40/hr

Contract Length: 3 months with high likelihood of extension

Hours: 8-5 EST, M-F

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Client is seeking an experienced EMR Project Manager to oversee the implementation of electronic data interchange (EDI) interfaces between internal systems and various EMR/EHR, HIS, and LIS software platforms, supporting electronic lab orders and results. This fully remote, contract role requires managing all aspects of interface implementation projects, including effective communication and collaboration with internal and external clients, as well as software vendors. The Project Manager will be responsible for prioritizing and escalating tasks, maintaining detailed and accurate project documentation, and facilitating project meetings, conference calls, and status updates. After gaining experience, you will also train and mentor new team members in both technical and non-technical workflows, including leading as a Primary Training PM. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, demonstrates strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, and has experience with healthcare workflows, HL7 specifications, and process improvement. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Provide comprehensive project management for EDI interface implementations between client systems and EMR/EHR, HIS, and LIS software platforms
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with internal and external clients and software vendors throughout the implementation process
• Manage, prioritize, and elevate project tasks to ensure timely and successful interface implementation
• Maintain detailed and accurate project documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and organized
• Lead and facilitate project meetings, conference calls, and status updates with stakeholders
• Troubleshoot and resolve project-related issues, offering solutions, process improvements, and developing short-term problem circumvention strategies as needed
• Train and mentor new Project Managers and team members in technical and non-technical workflows after gaining experience; lead training as a Primary Training PM
• Promote strong client relationships by anticipating client needs, ensuring requirements are addressed, and fostering good customer relations
• Contribute to process improvement and development initiatives within the team
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability while working collaboratively in a fast-paced, open-ended, team-oriented environment

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience and leadership
• 3-5 years of experience managing EMR software implementation workflows
• Experience with EDI interface project management (EMR/EHR, HIS, LIS)
• Strong client and vendor communication skills across varying technical backgrounds
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word & Excel)
• Detail-oriented with effective project documentation skills
• Ability to manage, prioritize, and elevate project tasks in interface implementation projects
• Experience training and mentoring new Project Managers and team members on technical and non-technical workflows; ability to lead as a Primary Training PM
• Knowledge of healthcare workflows and HL7 specifications preferred
• Process improvement and development skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities; able to anticipate client needs and offer solutions
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, open-ended, team-oriented environment
• Results-focused, innovative, and able to develop short-term problem circumvention strategies
