Job summary

Tahoe Forest Health System is seeking a dedicated Health Information Management clerk to support both Truckee, CA and Reno, NV offices on a rotating basis. The role involves processing medical records, scanning, chart analysis, and chart auditing within the EMR system.

Preferred candidates will have EMR experience and scanning expertise, with strong clerical and telephone support skills. The position requires travel to offsite TFHS facilities as needed and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Experience handling scanning and chart auditing in a health information setting.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Willingness to travel to offsite TFHS facilities as needed.
• Strong clerical and telephone support abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process Inpatient, Outpatient, and Ancillary charts across departments.
• Review and analyze charts for completeness in medical records.
• Assist physicians and staff with record completion and transcription tasks.
• Use EMR to store, retrieve, and manage health information.
• Travel to offsite TFHS facilities to process work when required.
