Job summary

The EMR Implementation & Optimization Manager at Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists Association will lead planning, implementation and optimization of an electronic medical record across the organization, coordinating with clinical, operational, IT and revenue cycle teams.

The role requires experience with major EMR platforms (Epic, eClinicalWorks, NextGen), healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), and strong leadership to ensure adoption, training, data migration and ongoing enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, information technology, health informatics or a related field
• Experience in ambulatory healthcare and physician workflows
• Experience implementing major EMR and practice management platforms (Epic, eClinicalWorks or NextGen) in multi-site, multi-specialty
• PMP, CPHIMS or similar certification preferred
• Experience with HL7 and FHIR interoperability
• Experience with data migration, interfaces, reporting and testing
• Clinical transformation, workflow redesign and change management
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Develop implementation plans, timelines and budgets
• Partner with stakeholders across clinical, IT, revenue cycle and executive teams
• Assess current workflows and design future state processes
• Coordinate EMR configuration, testing, data migration and interfaces
• Develop go-live and cutover plans with staffing and support
• Monitor post-go-live performance and optimization
• Establish KPIs to measure success and adoption
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy
• Support ongoing improvements and future upgrades
• Establish post-go live support structure
• Other duties as assigned
