Loretto is seeking a Compliance/Health Information Specialist to audit EMR documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance, and to support the health information program. The role involves audits, reporting, and training staff on privacy and compliance, with duties continuing across multiple regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• RHIT or CHC certification required.
• At least 3 years of health information management experience; outpatient and inpatient settings preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and EMR systems.

Responsabilités

• Audit EMR documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare for DOH and CMS audits and assist in corrective actions.
• Audit internal processes to ensure state and federal compliance.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of the PACE CNY compliance program.
• Conduct functional and process audits and advise management on deficiencies.
• Compile monthly census and program reports and distribute accordingly.
• Ensure sharing of medical information with facilities as required by regulations.
• Complete health information disclosures to participants and families.
• Assist with training on privacy and breach monitoring; support corrective actions.
• Perform QA functions and summarize findings for corrective plans.
