Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, Inc. seeks a Clinical Applications Specialist to implement and support practice management (EPM) and EMR systems, including NextGen, LUMA health, and PxP. You will work with Health Services, IT, and QA leadership to align configurations with clinical workflows and reporting needs.

Qualifications

• Requires computer skills with Microsoft Office and Internet proficiency.
• NextGen EPM and EHR certification preferred.
• Healthcare IT certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conducts system testing, training development, application integration planning, and onsite support.
• Maintains EMR File Maintenance and evaluates reporting capabilities.
• Performs daily and monthly audits to maintain data integrity.
• Provides technical support to health center staff on EPM, EMR, and LUMA health issues.
• Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes user requests, escalating when needed.
• Responds to Help Desk requests related to EMR and ancillary applications.
• W orks closely with staff to accomplish organizational goals.
• Updates forms and documents in EMR and LUMA health per Medical Standards.
• Logs requests using help desk software and maintains history records.
• Produces statistical reports for internal management, PPFA, and regulators.
• Keeps knowledge of PPGT policy and pricing updates.
• Has access to PHI under proper authorization and protects patient information.
• Roles may be adjusted by management as needed.
