Job summary

PALS OHIO, LLC. is seeking a Self-Advocacy Coordinator to lead advocacy efforts for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will support daily living skills, document activities, and promote self-advocacy through group meetings and community events.

Responsibilities include coordinating transportation, managing budgets, and collaborating with staff to empower individuals toward greater independence. Requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written skills.
• Able to use web-based technology.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support adults with developmental disabilities; assist with money management, personal hygiene, and life skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation including transportation, billing, and program records.
• Safely provide Non-Medical Transportation as needed and perform vehicle maintenance checks.
• Attend weekly staff/house meetings and participate in self-advocacy initiatives.
• Manage self-advocacy budget and coordinate fundraisers and events.
• Assist in developing programming to increase autonomy and self-sufficiency.
