Job summary

Embracelifeservices seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide personalized care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. The DSP helps with daily living activities, independence, and quality of life while following ISP goals.

The role covers full-time, part-time, and on-call shifts; schedules vary by member needs and may include mornings, evenings, or weekends. Arizona fingerprint clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Able to obtain Arizona State level one fingerprint clearance.
• CPR/First Aid, Article 9, and Prevention and Support certifications encouraged.
• Experience with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meals.
• Support mobility, transfers, and adaptive equipment use.
• Administer medications if trained and documented.
• Provide companionship and promote self-advocacy and independence.
• Help learn life skills, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and communication.
• Encourage community outings and social interactions.
• Follow Positive Behavior Support strategies and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate service notes, progress and incident reports.
