Job summary

ARC Voyagers is seeking an Activity Specialist in Grove City, OH to provide person-centered support and lead engaging activities for individuals with developmental disabilities.

You will implement ISP-guided plans, foster independence, and promote community inclusion while ensuring safety and respectful interactions. A background check, CPR/First Aid, and a valid Ohio driver’s license are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Must submit to BCII/FBI background check and Nurses Aid & Abuser Registry checks.
• Maintain American Red Cross or equivalent first aid and CPR certification.
• Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License and insurability standards.
• Complete eight hours of training as required by The Ohio Department of Developmental upon hire.
• Must pass a physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support by following each individual’s ISP and tailoring support to their goals and needs.
• Plan and lead educational, recreational, social, and community activities to promote engagement.
• Teach daily living, social, and communication skills to support independence.
• Support community inclusion by helping individuals participate in local activities and build relationships.
• Provide personal care and daily living support as needed, including mobility and routine care.
• Document services and progress, and input ISP updates as required.
