Job summary

YMCA Robin Hood Group is seeking a Housing Duty Worker to support young people aged 16–24 in our Mansfield accommodation. You will be a friendly, reliable presence, welcoming residents, answering questions, helping them access support, and ensuring building safety and a positive environment.

Full-time and part-time shifts are available with weekday and weekend patterns. Previous housing experience isn’t required; the right attitude, good initiative, and the ability to stay calm under pressure

Qualifications

• Attitude-focused role requiring empathy and flexibility.
• Ability to interact calmly with residents and visitors.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming residents and visitors
• Answering questions and guiding to support
• Monitoring CCTV and building security
• Issuing keys and handling lost keys
• Reporting incidents and maintaining records
• Supporting fire safety checks
• Maintaining a safe, clean, welcoming environment
