YMCA of Greater Cleveland seeks an Assistant Teacher for Roosevelt Y Club YMCA's child care program in Lakewood, OH. You will supervise children in licensed before/after-school or early learning settings, building nurturing relationships with kids and collaborating with families.

The role focuses on creating safe, inclusive learning environments, supporting development, and promoting positive behaviors while following health and safety regulations.

Qualifikationen

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a licensed child care center preferred.
• Previous experience working with diverse populations preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification and Safety training required within 30 days of hire.

Aufgaben

• Supervise a group of children in licensed Before and Afterschool Enrichment or Early Learning program.
• Foster positive, nurturing relationships with children and build cooperation with families.
• Support developmentally appropriate learning environments and curriculum implementation.
• Provide a safe, inclusive environment to encourage play, exploration, and learning.
• Assist with program planning and weekly lesson plans.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding observation and assessment information.
