Job summary

Warrensville Y Club is hiring a Child Care Assistant Teacher to supervise children in licensed before/after school or early learning programs. You will build positive, nurturing relationships with children while partnering with parents/caregivers to support their development.

The role emphasizes safety, inclusivity, and engagement through developmentally appropriate activities and planned lessons. CPR/First Aid certification and a willingness to meet 30-day training requirements are expected.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience working with children in a licensed child care center preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification and Safety training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of a group of children in licensed before/after school or early learning programs.
• Create positive, nurturing relationships with children and collaborate with parents/caregivers.
• Support developmentally appropriate learning environments and implement weekly lesson plans.
• Promote safety, inclusion, and healthy development across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains.
