The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree with Texas special education certification, strong ARD/IEP knowledge, and proven collaboration and communication skills to support student growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignment.
• Knowledge of ARD Committee process and Individual Education Plan goal setting and implementation.
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for special needs.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and other staff to develop IEP through ARD for each student assigned.
• Implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs and show written evidence of preparation.
• Assess student learning styles and plan materials to match needs.
• Present subject matter effectively using diverse instructional techniques and technology.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify regular curricula for inclusion.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings regularly.
• Assist in selecting books, equipment, and instructional media.
