Job summary

Noble Independent School District 40 is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2026-27 school year. Under supervision of a certified staff member, you will assist students with instructional goals, reinforce learning, and support inclusion in the classroom.

The role includes working with students individually and in small groups, helping with assessments, preparing materials, and supervising lunch and other non-instructional areas. Experience with special needs is desirable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with students with special needs desirable.
• Ability to follow directions and assist in instruction.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in reading, language arts, and math.
• Work with students in small groups and individually.
• Assist with classroom exercises, tests, and assessments.
• Prepare instructional materials and reinforce skills.
• Maintain student records of learning and performance.
• Support classroom behavior management and safety.
• Supervise non-instructional areas like lunch, bus, playground.
• Accompany students on field trips.
• Assist with parent contact to involve families.
• Support students with disabilities to maximize inclusion.
• Participate in IEP process as needed.
• Assist with training paraprofessionals.
