Job summary

Zanewood Community School in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, is seeking an Educational Support Professional - Special Education (Highly Qualified) to assist the special education teacher, work with individuals or small groups, and help implement instructional plans and classroom routines across settings.

This part‑time, school‑year role offers meaningful work, a 6‑hour daily schedule, and participation in district training.

Qualifications

• Minimum HQ required to work as a special education paraprofessional by start date per Minnesota Department of Education.
• Two years of college study (60 credits) or an associate's degree or equivalent.
• Passing score on ParaPro, ParaEducator, or ParaPathwaysAssessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individualized education plans and behavioral management as assigned by supervising teacher.
• Assist in implementing and following through of student plans across settings.
• Collect observational data and report to supervising teacher.
• Prepare, collect and maintain educational materials/equipment.
• Attend staffings, conferences, and other meetings as requested by supervising teacher.
• Complete educational forms and reports for individual students as directed.
• Participate in district training programs before and during employment.
