Job summary

Educational Service District 112 Lake Quinault School District in Amanda Park, Washington, seeks a Special Education Paraeducator. The role is 32.5 hours per week during the school year, reporting to the Special Education Teacher to support students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Must meet one of the specified educational requirements (see list).
• Preferred: experience in a special education classroom setting.
• Knowledge of programs and services for students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Education Teacher with IEP/IFSP goals in lesson planning and delivery.
• Provide one-on-one and small group instruction and manage the classroom.
• Observe and assess students and communicate with parents and staff.
• Supervise students and collect data on progress.
• Maintain accurate data collection records and report progress.
• Communicate with staff and parents as instructed by the teacher.
• Provide positive behavior support aligned with IEP/IFSP.
• Attend to the physical needs of students and assist with personal hygiene needs.
• Participate in staff meetings, inservice programs, and education team meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
