Qualifications

• Associate degree (AA) or higher OR two years of college (72 quarter hours) or pass ParaPro/Paraprofessional assessments.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with individualized and small group instruction for varied educational levels and needs.
• Support students with physical, behavioral needs and health care needs; assist with daily living skills.
• Assist staff with classroom prep, retrieval, use and storage of equipment and supplies; supervise students in various settings.
• Model appropriate behavior; maintain confidentiality; participate in safety drills and behavior plans as needed.
• Provide delegated physical care under RN supervision, including possible medication administration where allowed.

Education

AA degree or higher; or two years of college (72 quarter credits); or ParaPro/PARAPRO/ESA assessment with required scores
