Job summary

Educational Service District 112 Kalama School District in Kalama, Washington seeks a Special Education Paraeducator for the 2026-2027 school year. This 32.5-hour per week position follows a school-year schedule with an August 2026 start date.

You will assist the Special Education Teacher with lesson plan preparation, one-on-one and small group instruction, data collection, and communication with parents and staff, while maintaining reliable attendance and supporting students with disabilities

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• One of the following educational options: Associate's Degree; 48 sem./72 quarter credits; ParaPro score; Pearson Paraprofessional score; or 65% on Master Teacher Paraeducator training.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Education Teacher with lesson plan preparation and in-class instruction (one-on-one and small groups).
• Supervise students and collect data to report progress.
• Maintain accurate data records and communicate with staff and parents as directed by the teacher.
• Attend staff meetings and participate as a member of the education team, including parent conferences when applicable.
