Job summary

UCFS Healthcare is seeking a Program Aide and Van Driver in Norwich, CT. The role supports seniors at the Adult Day Center, leading activities, ensuring safety, and providing transportation.

Schedule is full-time, 35 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. Requires HS diploma and 2 years in senior care; valid license to operate a passenger van preferred. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience working with or supporting seniors.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and leads program activities at the center, such as exercise, activity setup/cleanup, arts and crafts, games, and special projects.
• Ensures client participation and safety.
• Provides van transportation for Adult Day Center clients according to policy and procedures.
• Assists with personal care needs (transfer, toileting, clothing changes, showering).
• Demonstrates quality customer service and respectful communication with clients and staff.
