Job summary

UCFS Healthcare in Norwich, CT is seeking a Program Aide and Van Driver - Per Diem to support senior participants with activities and provide transportation for the Adult Day Center. Responsibilities include leading activities, assisting with personal care, ensuring safety, and delivering exceptional customer service while fostering a respectful, supportive environment for participants and staff.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with per diem flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of experience working with or supporting seniors.
• Must be eligible for Public Service License to operate a passenger van; HHA/CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in program activities for seniors (exercise, crafts, games).
• Ensure client participation and safety during activities.
• Provide van transportation for Adult Day Center clients per policy.
• Assist with personal care needs (transfers, toileting, dressing, showering).
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and respectful communication with clients and staff.
