Job summary

United Community & Family Services, Inc. seeks a Program Aide and Van Driver - Per Diem to support seniors at the Adult Day Center. The role includes leading activities, providing transportation, and assisting with personal care as needed.

The position follows a Per Diem schedule with hours Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Requires a high school diploma and experience with seniors; valid Public Service License to operate a passenger van preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• At least 2 years of experience working with or supporting seniors is required
• Must be eligible for Public Service License to operate a passenger van
• HHA/CNA certificate preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in program activities at the center (exercise, crafts, games, etc.)
• Ensure client participation and safety
• Provide van transportation for Adult Day Center clients per policy
• Assist with personal care needs (transfer, toileting, dressing, showering)
• Demonstrate quality customer service and respectful communication
• Interact with coworkers, clients and visitors in a professional manner
