Job summary

Walworth County is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide diagnostic, consultative, prescriptive and instructional services to students with speech and language needs. Services emphasize in-class and natural environment settings, including use of augmentative communication and assistive technology.

The clinician will participate in IEP teams, conduct evaluations, document progress for parents and educators, and ensure alignment with Medicaid requirements for school-based services.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Eligible for Wisconsin Teaching License #1820 – Speech and Language Pathology.
• Provide diagnostic and prescriptive speech-language services.
• Conduct in-school staffing and screening processes as appropriate.
• Document progress and report to parents, teachers and administrators.
• Stay current with best-practice approaches and tools for assessments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students with suspected Speech/Language needs as part of the IEP team.
• Participate in staffing and screening processes within the school.
• Reevaluate students enrolled in the Speech/Language program as needed.
• Develop written educational evaluations for referred students.
• Develop IEPs in consultation with parents and teachers.
• Annually review IEPs and document progress.
