Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. is hiring a Classroom Aide to support teachers in preschool settings at the Wadesboro location. You will assist with daily activities, supervise children, help organize the classroom, and engage families to foster a safe, supportive learning environment.

The role starts at $14 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:45am-2:45pm or 7:30am-3:30pm (40 hours/week). Medical, dental, vision coverage and other benefits accompany employment with PSLF eligibility

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EDU 119 or CDA credential preferred.
• Experience working with young children preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and submit to random drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and supervision.
• Support children's developmental and educational needs.
• Help maintain classroom records and documentation.
• Assist with classroom organization and cleanliness.
• Supervise children during classroom and outdoor activities.
• Support family engagement and communication.
