Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. is seeking a dependable Teacher’s Aide to assist teachers in Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms in Hamlet, NC.

You will support daily activities, supervise children, maintain records, and engage with families as part of a collaborative education team. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EDU 119 or CDA Credential preferred.
• Experience working with young children preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and must submit to random drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and supervision.
• Support children’s developmental and educational needs.
• Help maintain classroom records and documentation.
• Assist with classroom organization and cleanliness.
• Supervise children during classroom and outdoor activities.
• Support family engagement and communication.
