Job summary

The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region in Belcamp, MD seeks a Personal Support Coach-DSP to support individuals with dignity in home and community settings. You will provide personal care, assist with daily living skills, and help people participate in activities they choose.

You will document care activities, assist with scheduling and transportation, administer medications when applicable, and uphold the person-centered philosophy. Training, safety, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years’ experience in a residential setting is preferred.
• CNA/GNA Certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as toileting, feeding, hygiene.
• Assist with daily living skills (meal planning, shopping, grooming).
• Support and transport to community events, worksites, appointments.
• Complete daily documentation (Caretracker data, medication, behavioral charting).
• Administer medications timely when applicable and notify nursing staff of concerns.
• Follow person-centered philosophy and develop PCPs; review BSPs.
