Job summary

The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region in Maryland is seeking a Community Living Coach-DSP to support individuals in home and community settings. You will assist with personal care, daily living skills, transportation, and community participation, while promoting dignity and respect and adhering to agency and state guidelines.

This role requires High School diploma, 2 years' residential experience preferred, and CPR/First Aid or CNA/GNA certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years’ experience in a residential setting is preferred.
• CNA/GNA Certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred.
• Ability to assist with personal care and mobility as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as toileting, hygiene, and grooming.
• Support daily living skills including meal planning, shopping, and housekeeping.
• Schedule and transport individuals to events, work, and appointments.
• Maintain a clean, safe residence and complete daily logs (communication, medication, behavioral).
• Administer medications timely and notify nursing staff of concerns.
• Assist with developing and implementing Individual Plans (IPs) and following Behavioral Plans (BPs).
• Document incidents and complete reports promptly.
• Participate in training new team members and adapt to client needs.
