Job summary

Qualifications

• Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide our supported people in achieving personally desired outcomes in community and home-based activities.
• Encourage development of mutually rewarding relationships with community members and local organizations.
• Utilize effective tools to expand individuals' options, opportunities, and active participation in activities.
• Aid our supported people in increasing participation in community activities and engagement.
• Promote health and safety of our supported people in all settings and activities.
• Provide guidance to acquire new independence skills for daily living.
• Develop positive interactions with team members to support The Arc NCR’s mission.
• Collaborate with team to gain knowledge for supporting people in various settings.
• Engage in brainstorming and problem-solving to create respectful learning environments.
• Accurately complete and submit documentation (attendance, mileage, vehicle maintenance).
• Efficiently use support time to ensure effective time management and fiscal responsibility.
• Maintain detailed records of behavioral and medical information for data submission.
• Adhere to medication administration standards, safety protocols, and incident documentation.
• Safely operate organizational vehicles and monitor maintenance and compliance.
• Undertake other duties, including special projects.
