Job summary

00 RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Certified Peer Support Specialist for the TMS Team South in North Carolina. The role focuses on providing community-based peer support, promoting self-determination, and guiding individuals through recovery processes.

Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Qualified candidates should be NC or PA certified, have at least two years of related experience, and possess a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist in NC or PA.
• 2 years experience working with individuals with behavioral health issues preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Modeling effective coping and self-help techniques to individuals.
• Providing empowerment skills and support in successful recovery living.
• Assisting individuals in finding resources, advising of processes, and encouraging follow through with proposed resolutions.
• Leading peer support groups with individuals served.
• Supporting/assisting individuals in daily decision making and resolution of minor problems.
• Facilitating social opportunities in the community.
• Fostering development of healthy relationships by encouraging participation in community activities.
• Sharing personal story of recovery and resilience to instill hope.
