Job summary

SNAP is seeking a compassionate Peer Support Coordinator in Spokane, WA to help individuals identify goals, build self-sufficiency, and improve well-being. You will develop action plans, connect clients with housing, financial wellness, employment, and transportation resources, and provide ongoing case management with confidentiality and dignity.

Qualifications

  • HS/GED with at least two years related experience in peer support, coaching, mentoring, or case management.
  • Must have clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
  • DOT drug testing and DOT Medical Clearance (or ability to pass) required.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusting, supportive relationships with clients and their families using empathy and peer support principles.
  • Help individuals identify and prioritize personal, financial, housing, employment, health, and wellness goals.
  • Develop individualized action plans with realistic steps and achievable outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing case management and follow-up through case closure.
  • Assist clients with transportation needs and navigate SNAP programs and services.
  • Maintain accurate client records and protect confidentiality.
